Educational Qualification

Essential Qualifications:
1. Academic Degree: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
2. Professional Teacher Training: 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed. / B.T.C.) from an NCTE-recognized institution OR 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) approved by RCI.
3. Teacher Eligibility Test: Must have passed UPTET (Primary Level – Classes 1 to 5) OR CTET (Primary Level Paper-I).
Note: As per NCTE and Supreme Court guidelines, B.Ed. qualification is not eligible for Primary Assistant Teacher posts.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Minimum age: 21 years; Maximum age: 40 years as on 01.07.2026. Age relaxation of 5 years is admissible for SC, ST, OBC, and state government employees of Uttar Pradesh as per state reservation rules.

The state-level written examination (Super TET) consists of a single objective paper of 150 marks (150 questions, 2.5 hours duration) covering Language, Science, Mathematics, EVS, Teaching Methodology, Child Psychology, GK/Current Affairs, Reasoning, Information Technology, and Life Skills/Management. Final merit ranking is formulated based on performance in the written examination and state teacher recruitment guidelines, followed by Document Verification before the District Selection Committee.
