Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree with a 3-year LL.B. and at least 7 years of legal experience, or a 5-year Integrated Law Degree (B.A. LL.B./B.B.A. LL.B.) with at least 8 years of legal experience. Applicants must be regular officers under Central/State Govts, UTs, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies holding analogous posts, or with 5 years regular service in Pay Level-11, or members of State Judicial Service with 10 years regular service.

Age Limit & Relaxations

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of the receipt of applications.

Stationed at Delhi Jal Board Headquarters at Varunalaya Phase-II, Karol Bagh, New Delhi. Heading the legal division (Water wing) of DJB, handling complex public utility litigation, water disputes, writ petitions before the High Court of Delhi and Supreme Court, arbitration disputes with infrastructure contractors, drafting replies/affidavits, and liaising with standing counsels and government departments.

Stationed at Varunalaya Phase-II, Karol Bagh, New Delhi. Deputation tenure is initially for 1 year, extendable ordinarily up to 4 years as per DoPT guidelines, or until the post is filled on a regular basis. No inter-state transfer outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Deputationists hold an ex-cadre position in Delhi Jal Board and remain in their parent cadre for proforma promotion / seniority progression under the Next Below Rule (NBR). Departmental officers in the direct line of promotion in DJB are ineligible for deputation, and deputationists cannot claim regular absorption/promotion within DJB.
