The Junior Research Fellow will be stationed at the Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute (CSRTI), Mysore, an apex research institute under the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The fellow will work on the research project 'Studies on the factors responsible for non spinning in mulberry silkworm' (Project Code: SPR01046MIC Component III). Key responsibilities include laboratory rearing of mulberry silkworms (Bombyx mori), physiological and biochemical profiling of silk gland degeneration, identifying metabolic and environmental triggers leading to non-spinning defects, maintaining research logs, and assisting scientists in publication and field validation trials in sericulture clusters across Karnataka.
