Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Agriculture, Life Sciences, or Chemical Sciences from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification: Higher qualification (M.Sc.) and/or practical work experience in Soil Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Sericulture.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 30 years as on the date of publication of notification. Relaxation of 5 years is admissible for SC, ST, OBC, Women, and Physically Challenged (PwD) candidates as per Government of India rules.

Selection will be made on the basis of a Walk-in Interview on 08 October 2026 at CSB-CSR&TI, Mysore. Candidates must report at the venue by 9:30 AM for physical document verification. The Project Assistant supports the project 'Studies on Carbon Sequestration in Mulberry Cultivation under Different Climatic Conditions' (Project Code: PIP03017MIC). Duties involve periodic field collection of soil and mulberry plant tissue samples across varying agro-ecological regions, laboratory processing for soil organic carbon (SOC), nutrient dynamics, microbial biomass, and data documentation under the supervision of senior sericultural scientists.
