Educational Qualification

Post-wise educational qualification criteria:
• Medical Specialist: MD / MS in General Medicine from a recognized medical institute.
• Medical Officer: MBBS degree with valid medical council registration.
• Dental Officer: BDS degree with valid dental council registration.
• Officer-in-Charge: Graduate degree (Must be a Retired Defence Officer drawing pension from CDA).
• Dental A/T/H: Diploma in Dental Hygienist or Class-1 DH/DORA course from Armed Forces.
• Pharmacist: B.Pharmacy OR 10+2 (Science) with Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) and valid Pharmacy Council registration.
• Lab Technician: B.Sc (MLT) OR 10+2 (Science) with DMLT.
• Lab Assistant: DMLT or Class-1 Lab Tech Course (Armed Forces).
• Nursing Assistant: B.Sc Nursing / GNM Diploma or Class-1 Nursing Assistant certificate from Armed Forces.
• Physiotherapist: Diploma in Physiotherapy or Class-1 Physiotherapist Course (Armed Forces).
• Data Entry Operator & Clerk: Graduate degree or Class-1 Clerical Trade from Armed Forces.
• Female Attendant & Safaiwala: Literate.
• Chowkidar & Peon: 8th Class passed or GD Trade (Armed Forces).

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age criteria as per ECHS governing rules:
• Medical Specialists / Medical Officers: Maximum age up to 65–68 years.
• Dental Officers / Officer-in-Charge: Maximum age up to 63–65 years.
• Para-Medical & Non-Medical Staff: Maximum age up to 53–58 years.
• Age is calculated as on the date of notification / application deadline.

The work atmosphere is highly structured, disciplined, and military-supervised under Station HQ (ECHS Cell) Secunderabad and Headquarters Telangana & Andhra Sub Area (HQ TASA). Clinical and administrative staff operate during routine polyclinic hours with disciplined patient management. Selected candidates must undergo a mandatory 10-day On Job Training (OJT) without remuneration prior to formal engagement.

Contractual tenure is strictly 12 months for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) / widows of deceased service personnel and 11 months for civilian candidates. Postings are allocated across 15 designated ECHS polyclinics located in Telangana (Secunderabad-I, Secunderabad-II, Golconda, Sainikpuri, Mahabubnagar, Khammam, Karimnagar) and Andhra Pradesh (Anantapur, Giddalur, Guntur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Nellore, Vijayawada, Eluru, Chittoor). Annual contract renewal is subject to operational requirements, board recommendation, and satisfactory performance.
