Educational Qualification

Specialist (Full Time / Part Time): MBBS with Post-Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in relevant discipline from an NMC/MCI recognized institution with 3 years' experience after acquiring PG Degree, OR Post-Graduate Diploma with 5 years' experience in the concerned specialty. For Dental (Endodontist): BDS with MDS in relevant discipline from a recognized Dental Council institution.
Senior Resident (3 Years & 1 Year): MBBS with PG Degree or Diploma (MD/MS/DNB) in relevant discipline from an NMC/MCI recognized institution. Candidates must be registered with National Medical Commission (NMC) or Madhya Pradesh Medical Council. Alternatively, MBBS doctors with 2 years of hospital experience (including 1 year in the concerned specialty) may be considered for 1-year Senior Resident posts if PG candidates are unavailable.

Age Limit & Relaxations

ESIC Hospital, Tansen Nagar, Gwalior is a secondary-care central government hospital operating under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India. The hospital provides comprehensive outpatient, inpatient, and emergency services to insured workers and their families. Specialists and Senior Residents manage heavy clinical caseloads, emergency postings, surgical procedures, and bedside ward management. Biometric attendance is strictly implemented, and private practice in any form is prohibited for full-time specialists and senior residents.

Senior Residents under the Central Residency Scheme are appointed for an initial term of one year, extendable up to a maximum period of three years based on annual performance appraisals. One-year Senior Residents and Specialists are appointed on a contractual basis for 1 year, extendable up to 3 years. The location of posting is ESIC Hospital, Tansen Nagar, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Either party can terminate the contract by giving one month's notice.

Pay Scale & Monthly Remuneration

Senior Residents and Full Time Specialists are entitled to Entry Pay Level-11 of 7th CPC with Basic Pay of ₹67,700/- plus admissible allowances (DA, NPA, HRA). Part Time Specialists are entitled to consolidated pay of ₹60,000/- per month for 16 hours/week (4 hours/day, 4 days/week) plus ₹15,000/- per month for emergency call duties and ₹800/hour for approved additional work.
