Educational Qualification

• Doctoral Qualification: Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with a consistently good academic record.
• Master's Degree: Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade); a 5% relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates.
• Professional Experience: Minimum 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor (for Engineering disciplines, at least 2 years must be post-Ph.D. experience).
• Research Publications & Score: Minimum 7 research publications in peer-reviewed, NAAS-rated, or UGC-listed journals (or 6 SCI/UGC/AICTE publications for Engineering posts) and a minimum Research/API Score of 75 under Table 2.
• Veterinary Disciplines: Recognized BVSc/AH qualification under Schedules I/II of IVC Act 1984 and valid registration with State Veterinary Council/VCI.

Selection is conducted in two steps: (1) Step-I (Scrutiny of Academic/Research Score): Applications are screened by a Scrutiny Committee to evaluate the Table-2 Academic/Research score (minimum 75 points required across at least 3 categories). Outstanding professors can subsequently advance to Senior Professor (Level 15) or administrative roles including Head of Department, Dean of College, and Director of Research/Extension.
