Office/fieldwork balance, duties, organizational environment.

Clinical emergency and outpatient management in a 100-bedded Delhi Government secondary hospital catering to 5-6 lakh local residents in central Delhi's Karol Bagh area. Senior Residents in Obs & Gynae handle labor room management, normal/cesarean deliveries, and obstetric emergencies. Pathology SRs oversee routine histopathology, hematology, and clinical biochemistry labs. Dermatology SRs run busy OPDs. High patient turnover with rotational emergency on-call duties.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Initial posting criteria, zone preferences, transfer liability.

Initial tenure is for 89 days on emergent adhoc basis (or 44 days for general candidates against reserved slots). Tenure is extendable in 89-day cycles subject to satisfactory work conduct and vacancy availability, up to a cumulative maximum of 3 years under the Central Residency Scheme.

Career & Promotion Ladder

Promotion timeline, seniority ladder, pay grade scaling.
