NIELIT Ropar Guest Faculty Walk-in 2026

Qualifications as per UGC Regulations:

• Mathematics: M.Sc./M.A. in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized University, along with a Ph.D. in Mathematics or an allied subject, OR valid NET/SET/SLET. In case candidates with Ph.D. or NET/SET/SLET are not available, candidates with a Master's degree with at least 55% marks may be considered.
• English: M.A. in English with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized University, along with a Ph.D. in English or an allied subject, OR valid NET/SET/SLET. In case candidates with Ph.D. or NET/SET/SLET are not available, candidates with a Master's degree with at least 55% marks may be considered.

Age calculation cut-off date is the closing/interview date. In accordance with UGC guidelines for guest faculty, candidates up to 70 years of age are eligible. In case of equal marks in the interview, the elder candidate is given higher rank/weightage.

1. Visit the official university website at nielit.ac.in and download the prescribed Application Form for Guest Faculty.
2. Fill out the Application Form completely and affix a recent colored passport-size photograph.
3. Attach legible self-attested photocopies of essential documents: Bank Draft or POS receipt for application fee (Rs. 700/- General, Rs. 350/- SC/ST/PwD/Female), Matriculation/10th certificate for Date of Birth, Master's degree certificate and marks memos, Ph.D. degree / NET / SLET certificate, experience certificates, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and first page of bank passbook.
4. Ensure that Name, Date of Birth, and Gender on certificates match your Aadhaar Card exactly.
5. Report in person with original testimonials and the complete application packet at NIELIT Deemed to be University Main Campus, Bada Phull, Ropar, Punjab-140001 for document checking and Walk-in-Interview on 28th September 2026. (Postal/courier applications are not accepted).
