Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification: Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science and Nutrition, Food and Nutrition, Biochemistry, Toxicology, or other allied sciences.
Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with publications in peer-reviewed journals; laboratory animal handling and hands-on experience in working with in-vivo and ex-vivo models; minimum 2 years of experience working on a similar research project; good knowledge of MS Office and statistical analysis tools; good communication skills in Hindi and English.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum age limit is 35 years as on the application deadline. Relaxation of 5 years is admissible for women, SC, ST, OBC, and differently-abled candidates as per Government of India rules.

The Senior Research Fellow will be engaged at the modern research facilities of NIFTEM-K in Kundli, Sonipat. Key responsibilities include formulating partially hydrolysed guar gum (PHGG) composite flours, performing physicochemical and sensory characterizations, handling analytical instruments (FTIR, DSC, GPC), conducting enzyme inhibition assays, and managing animal trials in diabetic rodent models. The working environment is research-focused, fast-paced, and requires thorough documentation and lab compliance.
