Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification: B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).
• Mandatory National Eligibility: Qualified in the GATE examination.
• Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of PCB design tools, circuit simulation tools (LTspice), 3D modelling CAD tools, working knowledge of C and Python, and/or Master's degree (M.Tech) in Electrical Engineering.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 30 years as on the last date of application. Upper age relaxation of up to 5 years is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically challenged (PwD) candidates as per Government of India norms.

The Junior Research Fellow will join the Department of Electrical Engineering at NIT Warangal working under Dr. Vamshi Krishna Miryala (Assistant Professor) on an ANRF-sponsored cutting-edge power electronics project titled 'Development of a high power density medium voltage power module with integrated gate drivers and series connected soft-switched SiC MOSFETs'. The role involves electronic circuit design, PCB layout and routing, testing and debugging of hardware prototype boards, and high-voltage converter design utilizing Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductor devices. The lab provides advanced hardware prototyping, oscilloscope measurement setups, and simulation tools like LTspice.

The appointment is purely temporary and contractual for up to 3 years or until project closure, whichever is earlier. Initial performance evaluation is conducted within 3 months. Stationed at NIT Warangal campus in Telangana. Eligible for on-campus hostel and mess facilities subject to availability.

The fellow starts as JRF at Rs. 37,000/- + HRA per month for the first two years, transitioning to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at Rs. 42,000/- + HRA per month in the third year upon successful review. Furthermore, the selected fellow is eligible to register for a Ph.D. degree at NIT Warangal as per institute norms when the regular Ph.D. advertisement is opened.
