Educational Qualification

Essential Qualifications: Candidates must hold a B.Voc/Degree in the relevant engineering branch with Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) and 02 years post-CITS industrial/teaching experience; OR a 3-year Diploma in the relevant engineering branch with CITS and 05 years post-CITS experience; OR NTC/NAC in the relevant trade with CITS and 07 years post-CITS experience. Ex-servicemen with 15 years military service and Methods of Instruction course (minimum 2 years experience in defence technical training institutes) are also eligible. For MMV trade, a valid MCWG & LMV driving license is mandatory.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Minimum age must be 21 years as on 01 August, 2026. Upper age relaxations are applicable as per Central Government and Directorate General of Training (DGT) guidelines.

National Skill Training Institute (NSTI), Kanpur, functioning under the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), is a premier apex national institute responsible for imparting advanced technical and pedagogical training to vocational instructors. Guest Faculties are engaged for conducting theory and practical classes for Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) and Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) trainees. The environment is instructional and laboratory-intensive, emphasizing NSQF-aligned curriculums, lesson plan execution, micro-teaching demonstrations, and hands-on workshop machinery supervision.

The engagement is purely temporary on a contract basis for the academic session 2026-27, renewed periodically on a 3-month cycle subject to institute requirements and satisfactory performance. The engagement is non-regular and confers no right to regularization or absorption against any regular post in NSTI Kanpur or DGT. Place of posting is strictly NSTI Kanpur campus at Udyog Nagar, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
