• Eligibility Criteria: Must be a Past Champion Athlete in the respective sports discipline (Badminton, Football, Swimming, Kabaddi).
• Preference Order:
1. 1st Preference: Represented India at recognized international competition under recognized NSF/Association.
2. 2nd Preference: Medal winner at Senior National Championship conducted by recognized NSF OR Medal winner at Khelo India Games.
3. 3rd Preference: Medal winner at National AIU (All India Inter-University) Championship.
4. 4th Preference: Represented State in Senior National Championship OR Participation in Khelo India Games.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum age limit for applicants is 40 years as on the last date of application submission (17.10.2026). Age relaxation may be accorded in deserving cases.

Coaches work under the Directorate of Sports at the Panjab University Gymnasium Building and Sports Complex, Sector 14, Chandigarh. Panjab University is one of India's premier sporting universities with world-class infrastructure including an Olympic-standard swimming pool, gymnasium, international-standard badminton courts, and dedicated grounds for football and kabaddi. Daily duties involve running morning and evening conditioning camps, technical drills, tactical training of university teams and Khelo India athletes, maintaining training logs, injury rehabilitation, and leading teams to All India Inter-University (AIU) championships, National Games, and Khelo India University Games.
