Educational Qualification

Essential Eligibility (UGC Regulations 2018 & Institutional Norms):
1. Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point-scale).
2. Ph.D. in Environmental Science / Atmospheric Science or allied field with outstanding research, publication, and academic leadership record.
3. Minimum 10 years of teaching and/or research experience at university or national-level institution.
4. Proven evidence of high-impact publications, patents, or technology development in environmental sciences.
5. Specialisation in Environmental Sustainability, Climate Resilience, Water Resources, Land Degradation, or Environmental Policy.
OR An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. degree from academia or industry with significant contributions and 10 years of relevant experience.
Age Limit: Maximum 70 years as on the last date of advertisement (10.11.2026).

The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) is located at Bandarsindri, Kishangarh (Ajmer district) along NH-8 in the semi-arid ecology of Rajasthan. The Chair Professor under the School of Earth Sciences provides high-level scientific and policy leadership on national environmental challenges aligned with Viksit Bharat 2047, NAPCC, and UN SDGs. Key responsibilities include leading flagship field-intervention initiatives (HARIT Jal, HARIT Bhoomi, HARIT Van, HARIT Awas, HARIT Gram), mapping historical water management architectures (johads, baoris, tankas, kunds), conducting GIS/sensor-based hydrological modelling, and bridging ancient traditional ecological wisdom with modern technology.
