Educational Qualification

Assistant cum Bench Clerk: Any Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medicine, or any other discipline from a recognized University (in 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern). Preference will be given to candidates having qualification in Computer on Office Automation (COA) conducted by DOTE or Diploma/Degree in Computer, and Typewriting (Tamil & English).
Junior Assistant Cum Record Clerk: Must have passed SSLC (Class 10) public examination or equivalent recognized by a State or Central Board with computer proficiency. Preference will be given to candidates with typing certificate (Tamil & English).
Office Assistant: Must have passed Class 8 (VIII) from any recognized State or Private School Board.
Age Limit: Below 42 years as on 25.09.2026.

Staff appointed to the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) in Salem District work under the administrative control of the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and under the judicial superintendence of the Principal Magistrate (Judicial Magistrate). The Assistant cum Bench Clerk assists the Magistrate during court inquiries, records proceedings, prepares daily board cause lists, and tracks case progress.
