Educational Qualification

Academic qualifications and experience as per National Medical Commission (NMC) Medical Institutions (Qualification of Faculty) Regulations 2025:
• Professor: Recognized post-graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned broad specialty with minimum 8 years of post-PG teaching experience (at least 3 years as Associate Professor and 4 years as Assistant Professor) in an NMC-recognized medical college, along with NMC-prescribed indexed research publications.
• Associate Professor: Recognized post-graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned specialty with minimum 4 to 5 years of post-PG teaching experience as Assistant Professor in an NMC-recognized medical college and required research publications.
• Assistant Professor: Recognized post-graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned broad specialty with senior residency/experience as prescribed under NMC norms.
Mandatory requirements: Valid state or NMC medical council registration, and ICMR/NMC-approved Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR) / Revised Basic Course in Medical Education (rBCME) certifications where applicable.

Age Limit & Relaxations

The upper age limit is 69 years as on the date of interview (23.09.2026). The maximum engagement tenure is capped at 70 years of age.
