Candidates must possess a Ph.D. / MS / M.Tech / M.E. or equivalent degree in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering, or possess at least 3 years of research, teaching, and design & development experience after M.Tech/M.E. with a minimum of one published research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Desirable Qualifications: Prior research exposure to biocementation / Microbially Induced Calcite Precipitation (MICP) or biogeotechnics, hands-on geotechnical lab testing, proficiency with geotechnical analysis and slope stability software, microstructural characterization (SEM/XRD), and publications in soil stabilization or erosion mitigation.

The Research Associate in the Department of Civil Engineering will work under Prof. Neelima Satyam in the specialized area of Geotechnical Engineering, specifically focusing on biogeotechnics, biocementation/MICP (Microbially Induced Calcite Precipitation), soil stabilization, erosion mitigation, and slope stability. Daily work involves conducting advanced geotechnical laboratory testing, soil mechanics characterization, microstructural analysis (SEM, XRD), operating geotechnical numerical simulation and slope stability modeling software, and authoring high-impact papers in SCI journals.
